Glastonbury Keeps Getting Better


Go ahead and start booking those plane tickets now, because Guns N’ Roses and Arctic Monkeys are joining Elton John at Glastonbury this year. The UK music festival will take place June 21-25th and is stacked with talented artists. The Who confirmed for Glastonbury


The Who are to headline one of the nights at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, it has been revealed today. The legendary rockers were confirmed by Eavis today, after Townsend leaked the news to London radio station XFM. “It’s not 100 per cent sorted, but if he’s telling people he’s playing then we have to,” Eavis told BBC News. Thousands Descend on Glastonbury


Thousands of music fans have begun the annual pilgrimage to the Glastonbury Music Festival, parking caravans and pitching tents on Michael Eavis’s sprawling farmland ahead of the party’s official kick-off Friday. The grounds were thrown open Wednesday night and by Thursday a few eager thousand had already settled in for a weekend orgy of rock, pop, dance, folk and reggae music. Phoenix Festival, 1996: The Tour That Defined Me


— As UK music festivals go, the Phoenix Festival doesn’t have the storied history of Glastonbury or Reading. It only ran for five years, between 1993 and ’97, but it was located pretty close to my home in the Midlands region of England when I was growing up, and so I went to the 1995 event and the two that followed.  The 1996 Phoenix Festival is the festival that I judge all festivals on.
