British rock band Oasis has fired drummer Alan White, according to a terse post on its official Web site (http://www.oasisinet.com). “Alan White has been asked to leave Oasis by the other band members. There are no plans to replace Alan. The band’s scheduled recording sessions remain unaffected.” Oasis, headed by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, is expected to hit the studio in the near future with Death In Vegas’ Richard Fearless and Tim Holmes to work on the follow-up to 2002’s “Heathen Chemistry.” No release date has been set. British rock band Oasis is to return to the stage in Wales on Sunday to finish a European tour after a brawl in a Munich bar forced two shows to be canceled. Wildman vocalist Liam Gallagher, 30, lost two teeth in the fight on December 1, leaving him unable to sing in two scheduled German shows. A founder member of British rock group Oasis has lost his bid to sue the band’s lawyers over his firing because he took too long to start legal action. London’s High Court threw out the claim by drummer Anthony McCarroll that solicitors Statham Gill Davies had negligently handled Oasis’s 1993 recording agreement with Sony, allowing the band to get rid of him instantly without compensation. Oasis will stage two huge open air concerts in London this summer, the band said Tuesday. Noel and Liam Gallagher will take the stage in front of up to 120,000 people at Finsbury Park in north London on July 5 and 6. “These are the biggest concerts they have played since July 2000 when they did a UK stadium tour,” a spokeswoman for the band told Reuters.
