Daisy Grenade just dropped an utterly iconic cover of Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Taste.” And we are dazzled, though not surprised, because this duo can perfectly breathe new life into any track, including their previous covers “Polly” by Nirvana and “King For A Day” by Pierce The Veil and Kellin Quinn. The pair share on social media, “our cover of @sabrinacarpenter’s “Taste” is out now!!!!! listen, live, laugh, and love!!!!!” Check out Daisy Grenade’s punk-rock cover of “Taste” below. If you’re anything like this book-obsessed, music-devoted girlie pop, you may or may not have rolled out of bed at 3 AM ET this morning with a strong ass coffee ready to spiral into absolute oblivion over episode 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty season three. I said, may have—this is a judgement-free zone! While most of the episode was spent white-knuckling a throw pillow thanks to the mounting tension between the emotionally complicated cast (we’re really looking at you during this episode, Taylor and Steven), one of the most gut-punching—and beautifully soundtracked—moments hit in the final minutes of… Read more »
The first Pride was a riot—the Stonewall riots, to be exact. And it feels like the spirit of those early movements needs to return. As the United States legislates against transgender individuals, incites attacks on LGBTQIA+ rights, and defunds valuable health programs such as HIV research, it might feel like there’s a looming dark cloud over the month. However, celebrating who you are and who you love is an act of resistance! Not only does the whole team at idobi Radio celebrate Pride, these alternative musicians and brands are also celebrating the LGBTQ+ people in their lives this June and… Read more »

(yes, she has been grinding in the music industry well before the launch of “Espresso.”) This isn’t the only important record released a decade ago. Notably, 2015 was the release year of some of the most iconic records in the alternative scene—from indie to pop-punk. These 2015 albums are turning 10 this April 2025, and we still can’t believe it. Now, this radio station project has yielded some pretty iconic live song covers, inlcuding Royel Otis’ cover of “Murder On The Dancefloor” originally by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Poppy‘s cover of “Taste” by Sabrina Carpenter. Now, a dazzling new cover of HAIM’s “Gasoline” just dropped from Djo. In an interview, Djo shared, “I think they’re such great artists. I love that they’re sisters, and they make music together. I’ve got a big family and my song that… Read more »
The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony took place on February 2 at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, and it was a historic night to say the least. 2024’s biggest pop icons Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Charli XCX all took home their first-ever Grammys. Plus, Beyoncé became the first Black performer to win the award for Best Country Album and even took home her first Album Of The Year win for Cowboy Carter.
