This past weekend, The Academy Is… played a dazzling set at Chicago’s Riot Fest. Ahead of their main festival slot, the William Beckett-helmed group played a Riot Fest Late Night Aftershow on September 20 at Concord Music Hall. Here, they played classic hits such as “About A Girl” and unearthed some fan-faves such as “Skeptics and True Believers,” which they had not performed since 2015.
Additionally, they stunned the sold-out crowd by debuting not one…but two brand new songs: “2005” and “Miracle.” Hopefully, this is just one of many times we will get to hear these new tracks live. Check out the new hits below.
And that’s not the only exciting thing The Academy Is… shared this weekend. TAI frontman William Beckett also hopped onstage with Cobra Starship and Gym Class Heroes‘ Travie McCoy to perform “Bring It (Snakes On A Plane)“—and yes, we’re jealous of everyone who got to see it in person.
Coming up this November, you can catch The Academy Is… on their Almost Here 20th Anniversary Tour. Check out the full run below and grab tickets here.
