While on their press run for Caught Stealing, a forthcoming Darren Aronofsky crime thriller, leads Zoë Kravitz and Austin Butler stopped by Rolling Stone to play a little drunk ’90s trivia. And, naturally, it got a little NSFW right away. When film critic and interviewer David Fear mentioned Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam…well, Butler learned something new.
“How old were you when you realized what Pearl Jam meant?” Kravitz asked Butler during the game. He responded, “Right now…What does Pearl Jam mean?”
“It’s jizz, dude,” Kravitz said.
“I was today’s years old,” Butler added.
Notably, Vedder once made up a story in an interview about how his great-grandmother Pearl married a Native American man. Pearl then made “hallucinogenic jam,” hence… Pearl Jam. Though, in a 2006 Rolling Stone interview, band members Jeff Ament and Mike McCready called this “total bullshit.”

Per IMDb, Caught Stealing follows “ex-baseball player Hank Thompson [who] unexpectedly finds himself embroiled in a dangerous struggle for survival amidst the criminal underbelly of 1990s New York City, forced to navigate a treacherous underworld he never imagined.”
Uniquely, British rockers IDLES are at the forefront of the Caught Stealing soundtrack. In July, they debuted one of the film’s tracks, “Rabbit Run,” alongside an official lyric video. Check out the track below and grab your Caught Stealing movie tickets here.
