Following the release of Gully Boys‘ “Bad Day” and “Love Me 2,” the Minneapolis icons are back with their new track and music video for “Mother.” And that’s not all, the quartet also announced their debut self-titled LP is arriving on October 3 via Smartpunk Records.
The high-octane new single is Gully Boys at their best: pissed off, unapologetic, and gritty AF. The punk track is the anthem for all people who have been catcalled with lyrics such as, “Hey!/What did you say to me?/Would you say that to your mother?/Hey! Try it again with me/You’ll be a sorry mother fucker.” Naturally, the track arrives with an accompanying music video featuring the band’s trademark sense of humor.
On social media, the group shares that the new record is “the most direct and confident version of ourselves yet––loud, tender, and fiercely real. A full-body experience from start to finish, Gully Boys spans the recklessness of your early 20s to the hard-won wisdom you uncover a decade later. It’s about protecting what matters—your friends, your city, your identity—and embracing the kind of peace that only comes from living through the fire.”
