Nick Major premieres the first 15 minutes of his new interview with Cassadee Pope – who dropped by the idobi Radio studios for both a live session and an interview. Pope, who won season 3 of NBC’s The Voice, is known by many in this scene thanks to the pop-punk band Hey Monday, which she fronted from 2008 – 2011. Following her departure from the band and winning The Voice in 2013, she dominated the country scene with top charting tracks but has recently made a shift back to her pop-punk roots – most noticeable in her latest single, “People That I Love Leave” (watch her live idobi Session performance of it here). The two dive into what’s reignited her pop-punk fire and what’s next. Catch the full video version of the chat at YouTube.com/idobi.
Plus, idobi Radio’s Tommy Wooldridge gives his thoughts on the latest Wes Anderson film “Asteroid City” and the Jennifer Lawerence lead comedy “No Hard Feelings”.
