Wes and Sherin Talk Books and Comics
Our pal, sci-fi author Wesley Chu, takes time out of his busy writing schedule to tell Sherin what he’s reading and working on, including his upcoming Shadowhunters novel with Cassandra Clare, The Red Scrolls of Magic. They also talk his “three strike rule” for books, and why, sometimes, you have to punch people in the face.
Wes and Sherin Talk TV
Because Wes and Sherin don’t like to be boxed in by topics, they get into TV in their own roundabout way. They dig into the problems of Jessica Jones, talk likeable characters, and squeal over The Good Place. Wes gives Sherin his fave video game recommendations too (that counts as TV right?) and Sherin blows his mind with some cultural references.
The Rant Section
They were just getting started, y’all…Wes has 99 problems and plotting is every single one of ’em. Then Wes and Sherin move onto underused characters, nostalgia, and the pimp coat (you know the one). Sherin says “pimp coat” so many times she pretty much invented a new drinking game. Cheers!
