Elder Brother (Daybreaker vocalist Dan Rose and The Story So Far guitarist/vocalist Kevin Geyer) released a surprise EP,  Wish You Were Here,  through Pure Noise Records. The record contains four tracks all titled, “Wish You Were Here,” including an original and three covers by Get Up Kids, Ryan Adams, and Pink Floyd. Be sure to check out the tracklisting and stream the EP below!

Tracklisting:  elder brother ep

  1. Wish You Were Here
  2. Wish You Were Here (Originally by Get Up Kids)
  3. Wish You Were Here  (Originally by Ryan Adams)
  4. Wish You Were Here  (Originally by Pink Floyd)

On the inspiration behind the EP, Dan Rose says,

The idea for the EP kind of started as a joke.  We realized that there were a lot of good songs called “Wish You Were Here” and joked around about doing a cover album of only songs with that title.   Eventually we joked around about it enough that we just said fuck it and did it live in two days with Ben Hirschfield at Nu-Tone Studios in Pittsburg, CA.   My only regret is not including the smash hit from Incubus on the record.   Maybe that’s for Volume 2.
