Janet Jackson Announces Launch Of 'All For You World Tour 2001'

Tickets In Select Markets To Go On Sale This Weekend.

Four-time Grammy Award winner Janet Jackson today announced one of the most anticipated concerts events of the year, “All For You World Tour 2001.”

Named after her just released 7th album, the tour will be her first since the critically acclaimed sold-out Velvet Rope Tour of 1998. July 5th, at Vancouver’s 16,000-seat GM Place, will mark the first of 56 performances in the United States and Canada, concluding on October 13th in Denver, Colorado’s Pepsi Center Arena. Jackson will then head to Europe, where she will perform 25 shows in ten countries.

Tickets for 11 of the shows on the SFX presented “All For You Tour 2001,” will go on-sale this weekend and will include concert dates in Vancouver, Canada (July 5); Portland, Oregon (July 7); Kansas City, Kansas (July 14); St. Louis, Missouri (July 15); Minneapolis, Minnesota (July 17); Chicago, Illinois (July 26); Detroit, Michigan (July 31); Toronto, Canada (Aug. 2); Washington, DC (Aug. 17); New York, New York (Aug. 22) and Boston, Massachusetts (Aug. 25). Up-to-date tour information as well as tickets can be obtained at www.sfx.com.

In January, Janet was honored with The Award of Merit at the American Music Awards. In February, MTV hosted nearly two-dozen artists, who paid tribute to her on mtvICON. In March, she released her tenth Billboard Hot 100 #1, “All For You”, which has been #1 for four weeks. Now, as the highly anticipated release of All For You flies off the shelves in its first week of release, Janet stands poised for another groundbreaking year.

The tour will feature eight dancers and seven musicians performing Jackson’s enormous chart-topping catalogue of music, including songs from All For You. Award-winning set designer, Mark Fisher and lighting designer Abbey Holmes will work with Jackson, who has set the standard for innovative stage shows.
