Destiny’s Child is scheduled to release This Is The Remix March 12 on Columbia Records. The album comprises 13 songs, including various mixes of the group’s hit records, as well as a bonus track from Michelle Williams’s forthcoming gospel album. Mary J. Blige Track On Nas' Stillmatic To Be Cut For 'Personal Reasons'


Your copy of Nas’ Stillmatic is a collector’s item. And not just because some critics have lauded it as a classic – new pressings of the album will not contain the track “Braveheart Party,” which features Mary J. Blige and the Bravehearts. According to a spokesperson for Nas, Columbia Records is obliging Blige’s request to have the track, produced by Swizz Beatz, removed from the album for what she calls “personal reasons.” Blige’s spokesperson at MCA was unaware that M.J.B. wanted the song removed. Pearl Jam honors Joey Ramone on new single


Rock band Pearl Jam has paid tribute to late Ramones singer Joey Ramone on a recording released exclusively to Pearl Jam fan club members. A cover version of the pioneering punk band’s song “I Just Want To Have Something To Do” is one of four tracks featured on Pearl Jam’s annual 7-inch vinyl mailing. Ramone died of cancer last April, aged 49. MCA Records Senior Vice President of Promotion Craig Lambert today announced the appointment of Johnny Coppola to the post of vice president of promotion.
