EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Fans of all stripes crowded the Izod Center Saturday, May 16th, to hear a night filled with music from pop artists Kelly Clarkson, Ciara, Jesse McCartney and the Black Eyed Peas to rock from the All American Rejects, and hip-hop from Soulja Boy Tell’Em and The All American Rejects. Zootopia 2009 started with Jesse McCartney and his lead single “Leavin’,” but it was when he took off his sunglasses and sang “Beautiful Soul” that the sing-along really began. McCartney slowed it down for “It’s Over,” which he called his favorite song off his album Depature. But… Read more »
‘The demand of the kids on the Internet made us put them out there,’ organizer Kevin Lyman says. Sometimes, marketing plans just go out the window. “We were hoping to hold off announcing the dates until the first of March, but the demand of the kids on the Internet made us put them out there,” Lyman said. “The kids are prodding, they’re on the Web sites. Their… Read more »

As Underoath prepares to kick off the They’re Only Chasing Safety 20th Anniversary Tour later this month, the group has shared their biting new single, “Teeth.” “With our new track ‘Teeth,’ we dove into a pretty exciting territory for me—something I’ve always wanted to explore with this band but never felt was possible,” Chamberlain shares. “It almost has a vibe reminiscent of classic hip-hop samples or something that Linkin Park might have done, which I find so cool. I never imagined we’d actually pull it off in an Underoath song, but it came together so naturally. Lyrically, the song puts… Read more »

Following up music video releases for “Dancer,” “Gift Horse,” and “Grace,” IDLES is back with new visuals for their TANGK track, “POP POP POP.” Shot on location in Iceland, “POP POP POP” focuses on lead vocalist Joe Talbot moving through the snow-capped mountains and lanes. Talbot says, “It’s a song about the beauty of having a kid and… Read more »
It seems indicative of U.S. divorce trends that we could reasonably add National Ex-Spouse Day to the calendar between the bookends of April Fool’s Day and 4/20. Lo and behold, April 14 stands as the designated date for reflection on the heels of romantic dissolution. Officially, it’s a day to assuage anger and practice forgiveness—but let’s be real here: that’s about as engaging as a rainy day lecture on the history of watching paint dry. In the interest of feeding our delusion of music being a cure-all, we’ve opted for a decidedly more “teenage angst” approach in celebrating the sanctioned… Read more »
