Citing “irresponsibility” as the culprit, Zakk Wylde has “sent home” SOB, the bassist in Wylde’s Black Label Society backing band, according to a post on Wylde’s official website (zakkwylde.com). The move comes as this year’s OzzFest, featuring Wylde and company, continues its first week on the road.
Filling in temporarily will be former Alice In Chains four-stringer Mike Inez, who also worked with Wylde as part of Ozzy Osbourne’s backing band on 1991’s No More Tears and 1993’s Live & Loud. However, Inez is not a permanent replacement, according to the website.
OzzFest arrives Saturday (June 16) in Somerset, Wisconsin.
