“It’s a collection of songs that I’ve written the last couple of years together with very talented and inspiring songwriters…so many stories,” ORKID says. I Don’t Give a Damn takes you through the highs and lows of navigating relationships, examining why dealing with other people can be at times both tiring and also a journey of self-discovery. And it’s all wrapped up in beats you can bounce to. “I feel like the productions also guidelines a story behind the topline. I love that; the feeling of multiplying the worlds in one song.”
Standout “Melodrama” jumpstarts the album with an eerie synthpop beat, taking you on a trip full of crazy-in-love. She breaks down the track: “This is the feeling of almost losing your mind, overwhelmed by someone in total ecstasy. Where you just about cannot recognise your own actions; like you’re in a romantic movie, or a horror flick or something in-between. It’s got an element of dark humor in it.”

Fun Fact about I don’t give a damn:
“I’ve been going from ‘We’re better off when we’re wasted’ from ‘Wasted’, ‘Finally I’m sober’ from ‘Nonoh’ to ‘Drunk again at my friends’ in ‘Lay Low’. This has been an inside joke making the album. I don’t give a damn kind of sums it up haha.”
