Entertainment’s Trainwrecks of the Week – 12/6/18

One of our weekly instream features on idobi Radio had so many references we had to provide links so you can learn more. Here’s a transcript along with the details.

It’s your geek girls and here are the TRAINWRECKS of the week:

Debut author Tomi Adeyemi accused legend Nora Roberts of plagiarising her book title. Which is not a thing. “…of Blood and Bone” isn’t an uncommon phrase. Google it. Adeyemi should’ve done her research. Nora had to defend herself and she served the tea.

The Cut published a stunningly offensive essay tearing down Priyanka Chopra for apparently “scamming” Nick Jonas into marriage. Not only was it misogynistic and xenophobic, it displayed zero knowledge of Indian culture or Priyanka Chopra—who is a global superstar. Y’all, Priyanka was at the last royal wedding. And she didn’t need the lovely Nick to get there.

Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” video broke the internet AND IntoMore.com’s common sense. One writer accused Ari of being queerphobic and other nonsense because they didn’t get the film references.
