Softcult return on this beautiful December morning to gift fans with a brand new song, “Heaven.” A classically shoegaze-drenched tune, the duo comprised of twins Mercedes and Phoenix Arn-Horn add exciting elements of grunge rock and alternative indie into parts of the effort. Carried by gloomy verses and restrained vocals, the instrumentation explodes into something more cacophonous in the chorus. Drummer extraordinaire Jay Weinberg made his first appearance onstage following parting ways with Slipknot in early November. Though the split was met with surprise by the artist and longtime fans alike, Weinberg has stayed positive and grateful for each person he’s met along the way.
