The track arrives with a cheeky video skewering the grind of social media and engagement culture, complete with a spoof of Hot Ones reimagined as the faux Meet Sweats series hosted by Lambton. Today, Hot Mulligan have released another new track from their upcoming album Why Would I Watch out May 12th via Wax Bodega. The new tune “Gans Media Retro Games” shows the band at their loudest and poppiest. This track follows the release of their song “Shhhh! Golf is On” last month, both produced by their long time studio partner, Brett Romnes. Black Lines is difficult to get a grip on, because it’s so emphatically different from anything Mayday Parade has ever done. It’s nothing like the kind of “happy heartache†pop-rock a listener might come to expect. It’s much more aggressive, but worth hearing.
Real Friends are one of those bands who, although their musical repertoire is far from extensive, have yet to put out a bad song. Their latest EP Put Yourself Back Together is no exception – but there’s no sign of the band pushing their limits or trying something new.
