This week, Scott is joined by a member of one of the bands he manages: Craig Broombaugh of Filmspeed. Filmspeed is a band from Detroit that combines blood pumping anthems, melodic hooks, and soulful grooves in order to perfect their live music experience. Every minute of every album is recorded in a sea of sweat, and the band makes DIY bands feel that they’re not DIY enough. There’s no smoke and mirrors involved whatsoever.
Broombaugh joins Scott to talk about his roots in the Michigan music scene, what it’s like trying to grind 24/7 to make it as a band in 2016, and the not-so-subtle differences between North and South Long Beach.
