The Maine & Wet Seal Give Fans Everything They Ask For

The Maine, a popular pop/rock band from Tempe, AZ, and The Wet Seal, Inc. (Nasdaq: WTSLA), a leading specialty retailer to young women, are excited to launch their joint campaign today, Everything I Ask For. This campaign is titled after one of The Maine’s tracks, off their debut album Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop, and will give fans across the nation a chance to win exclusive performances, prizes, grant money and more.

“This is a very exciting way to partner with an artist and to support our customers’ schools. The Maine is a great band with a strong Wet Seal customer following.” said Ed Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Wet Seal Inc.

Several promotions will occur during this campaign including a sweepstakes on wetseal.com in which The Maine will escort the winner, from one lucky high school, and four friends to their winter formal dance and treat them to an exclusive performance. The winner and four friends will also each receive a $200 gift card to Wet Seal, where they can find the perfect dress for the dance. In addition, the winning school will receive a $1,000 educational grant.

In addition to the contest, The Maine will be doing surprise appearances and acoustic sets at various Wet Seal locations across the nation during their tour with labelmates Mayday Parade, Every Avenue, which ends November 29, 2008 in Philadelphia, PA. The only way to find out where The Maine will be appearing is by logging on to wetseal.com, visiting myspace.com/themaine or by texting ‘The Maine’ to 66937.

Also be on the lookout for exclusive new Maine t-shirts (see sidebar). These shirts will be sold nationwide throughout the retail chain. The “Zebra Head” will be sold nationwide and The “Cassette Tape T”, will only be sold in select markets where the band will be playing.

“We are excited to partner with Wet Seal for this promotion. Our label has always been about the fans and supporting the local community, and this is a perfect way to do both!” said Todd McCarty of Fearless Records.
