Former Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello will introduce a special presentation about sweatshops and globalization at the University Of Southern California (USC) on Wednesday (February 20). The event starts at 5:30 p.m. PT at the Leavey Library Auditorium on the USC campus in Los Angeles.

Morello will speak before a lecture called “Starving For Swoosh” by Leslie Kretzu and Jim Keady of Educating For Justice. The presentation is about the duo’s experiences trying to live in an Indonesian factory slum on $1.25 a day, which is the typical wage of the local Nike workers. The duo’s presentation features slide shows, role playing, and video footage of an encounter with the Nike CEO at the company’s Oregon headquarters. Kretzu and Keady are presenting “Starving For Swoosh” in various cities as part of a national speaking tour.
