Following the Paris attacks of November 13th, the french alternative community got together to help the victims and their families. Play For Paris is a 85-track compilation, available through January 3rd for a minimum of €1 on bandcamp, and features Chunk! No, Captain Chunk, Guerilla Poubelle, Black Bomb A, Mass Hysteria and many more. All proceeds will go to the FENVAC, a french organization which supports (both mentally and legally) the victims of terrorist attacks and catastrophes. The rock scene has been particularly hit by these events (one of the shootings happened at a venue, The Bataclan), and felt the need to join forces to pay tribute to everyone affected. They say that music heals; we certainly hope so. One thing is for sure, that’s what these 85 bands do best.
