Ol’ Dirty Bastard is expected to release his next album, The Trials And Tribulations Of Russell Jones, in March 2002 on D3 Entertainment. The album, will feature collaborations with his Wu-Tang Clan affiliates Method Man and the RZA, as well as Mack 10, and Big Skye.
The album’s first single, “Dirty And Stinkin,” produced by One Eye, includes a guest rap from Method Man, and is scheduled to be serviced to radio in coming weeks.
The album includes all new lyrics recorded by O.D.B. after his departure from Elektra Entertainment, says a spokesperson for D3 Entertainment.
A spokesperson for Elektra Entertainment says she is not aware of O.D.B.’s status with Elektra, the label that released his 1995 debut Return To The 36 Chambers, 1999’s Nigga Please, and 2001’s The Dirty Story: The Best Of O.D.B. Released in September, The Dirty Story has failed to debut on the Billboard charts.
