Good Charlotte To Headline AST Dew Tour

The AST Dew Tour announced that alternative pop-punk band Good Charlotte will headline the Verizon music stage on Friday, June 20 at the first stop of the 2008 AST Dew Tour, Baltimore’s Panasonic Open. Additionally, the band’s hit song “Misery” will serve as the theme song for the 2008 season.

Hailing from Waldorf, Maryland, Good Charlotte has earned international fame with 2004’s tremendously popular The Young and the Hopeless, featuring hit singles “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” and “Girls and Boys.” Their latest release, Good Morning Revival, is the fourth album from the multiplatinum selling group and features the hit singles “The River” and “(I Don’t Wanna Be In Love) Dance Floor Anthem” and “Misery” which will be the theme song for the 2008 AST Dew Tour. Band members include twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, Billy Martin, Paul Thomas and Dean Butterworth.

“Playing at Panasonic Open in Baltimore will be sort of a homecoming for Good Charlotte and a treat for the fans,” said Wade Martin, AST president. “With the band’s multi-platinum selling albums, international fame and local ties, their Friday night performance is sure to be one of our season’s top highlights.”

“We’ve been touring and all over the world the last year and can’t wait to play a show at home,” said Joel.

“There is nothing better than returning home to all of the fans that have been there since the beginning,” echoed Benji.
