Forever The Sickest Kids Touring preps "Underdog Alma Mater"

Universal Motown Records’ artist, Forever The Sickest Kids, announced new US tour dates today. Co-headlining with Metro Station, the band will cross from New York to their home state of Texas. The debut album from Forever The Sickest Kids, entitled Underdog Alma Mater, will be released on April 29th.   The six man band has been touring the U.S. successfully and building a fanbase from the grass roots up. The hard work has paid off with a major label release next month and coveted spots on the current Alternative Press Tour, the Warped Tour as well as the co-headlining tour with Metro Station.

Jonathan Cook, Caleb Turman, Marc Stewart, Austin Bello, Kent Garrison, Kyle Burns formed Forever The Sickest Kids in 2006 and within four months, the band had recorded an EP,   Television Off, Party On and written many of the songs for their full-length debut, Underdog Alma Mater. Then the band started playing shows, including a three-week stint on the indie stage of the Warped Tour. As rigorous as Warped was, it paid off. Before Warped, Forever the Sickest Kids averaged 10,000 to 12,000 daily plays on their MySpace page. When they got home, the number jumped from between 15,000 and 22,000. And the band’s fanbase continues to grow.

It’s easy to see why their fanbase has grown especially on the internet. When Forever The Sickest posted their first song “Hey Brittany” on the web, an extraordinary thing occurred. Since it was first posted, the song has garnered over 2.5 million internet plays. “Hey Brittany” is a confectionary gem that combines elements of power pop, pop-punk, electro-pop and ‘80s radio rock into an unforgettable sing-along that resonates with the energy and vitality of youth.

This week, Forever The Sickest Kids are poised to one up that achievement. Within ten minutes of posting their new song, “Whoa Oh”, they had over 2,500 plays. Fans can get a chance to hear them play this summer anthem and other songs from their new album this May. The dates are:
