Celine Dion, a singer who speaks French as her first language, will be the star performer at the Billboard Latin Music Awards this year. Dion will make her musical debut in Spanish at the awards show.

The Canadian singer has a big following among American Hispanics. Her sing “My Heart Will Go On” became the first and only English-language track ever to top the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart.

Other performers at the award show include Marc Anthony, Jaci Velasquez and Thalia. The awards will be handed out May 12 in Miami Beach, Florida.

Dion’s latest album is called “A New Day Has Come.”
