Cranberries Wake Up To Tour

Ireland quartet the Cranberries, who are celebrating their tenth anniversary, are offering fans free tickets to see them on their upcoming, semi-acoustic U.S. promotional tour. The five-date tour, beginning August 14th in Los Angeles, comes a couple months before their new album, Wake Up and Smell the Coffee, hits record stores on October 23rd.

The band is inviting fans to send emails explaining briefly (thirty words or less) why they should receive the goods. Along with the plea, fans must indicate which show they’d like to attend, as well as their home city and state. Email requests should be sent to [email protected]. Two fans per gig will also win the chance to meet the band.

Those who don’t manage to sway the group with their words still have hope of attending the semi-acoustic gigs, as local radio stations will be involved in giving away tickets.

No tickets will be available for purchase, with the exception of the Boulder, Colorado date. Further details on how to get tickets for that show is available on the band’s official Web site (www.cranberries.ie).

Wake Up and Smell the Coffee’s first single, “Analyse,” hits radio August 27th.

Cranberries’ Tour Dates:

  • August 14 – Los Angeles, CA, Roxy Theatre
  • August 16 – Boulder, CO, Fox Theater
  • August 18 – Chicago, IL, Double Door
  • August 20 – Minneapolis, MN, Fine Line
  • August 22 – New York, NY, Bowery Ballroom
