Britney Spears has raised almost $1 million for victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks through her recent concert tour.

After the attacks, she put together the Britney Spears Foundation September 11th Fund and donated $1 from every ticket sold to the cause.

This fund was established in the same spirit as her Foundation’s core goal, to help children in need. All proceeds from a memorial T-shirt sold on the tour also helped support the families impacted by the tragedy.

The Britney Spears Foundation has so far created a sanctuary for kids on extended hospital stays and The Britney Spears Camp for the Performing Arts.

The next project for the pop Princess is the release of her big screen debut in Crossroads early 2002. The movie is certain to break down the girly sweet image of Britney with scenes of teenage pregnancy, underage drinking and sex.

In the movie, Britney loses her virginity to an ex-con.

Scenes to look out for… Britney dancing in her underwear to a Madonna song and Britney singing *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye”.
