Amely signs with Fearless Records

WESTMINSTER, Calif. – One of idobi’s top unsigned artists to watch this year is already off the market, with Fearless Records today announcing the signing of Orlando rock band Amely.

A blend of spirited rock spiked with a healthy dose of power pop influence, Amely has already been making its mark on the music scene, despite only forming less than a year ago. The band is currently in the studio with producers Zack Odem and Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Mayday Parade).

Since playing its first show in March 2009, Amely has completed three national tours, opened for All Time Low, played the Unsilent Night Festival with A Day to Remember, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Breathe Carolina, as well as performed on the Kevin Says Stage at the Florida dates of Vans Warped Tour 2009. Love for the band has stretched to American Samoa in the South Pacific, where the band performed in front of 8,000 people for Blue Sky’s 10 Year Bash. In addition, the band has clocked up nearly a million plays on Myspace, and was named one of Purevolume’s top 20 unsigned bands of 2009.

“We feel great about signing to Fearless,” Amely singer Petie Pizarro said. “We wanted to sign to a label that was as excited about our music as we are. Fearless Records truly understands our direction and point of view about the music we play. They have a lot of experience in taking a band like us and developing us properly into the direction we want to head. We can’t wait for people to hear the true direction of the band, and get our sound heard across the world.”

Amely’s debut EP,  Hello World, is set for release early this summer.
