August 22nd — Philadelphia, PA | Voltage Lounge
The worst thing about this tour is that I’m going to have to leave it. Through the ups and downs I’m still having the time of my life. I started my day in Philadelphia at an old-time diner. Two cups of coffee, grits, eggs, and toast. The breakfast of champions. This cities has always been one of my favorites to visit. There is a sense of honesty that I can’t quite explain. All the bands showed up before the promoter which is a rare occurrence at any show. It seems as if there is a slight somber tone among the group, as we all know this journey is soon coming to an end. I’m still so shocked people are showing up. The fact that all these other humans so far from my home care so much about music and words I helped create is humbling. It makes me feel not so alone.
