Bare Bones’ BBEdit turn 20 today.
I first started using BBEdit in 1996, and it’s still my editor of choice today.
I haven’t been completely faithful. I hopped into bed with TextMate for awhile, but as the features like foldable code blocks made it’s way into BBEdit, I came home to my first love. Dreamweaver, Coda, PageSpinner, and a dozen other editors have invaded my computer in the interim, but none of them could compete.
So BBEdit. Happy 20th birthday. You’re still the best.
Trivia: BBEdit’s trademark, “It Doesn’t Suck” was the inspiration for idobi Radio’s tagline – Music that doesn’t suck.
