Hello, we have the bounce your Tuesday needs. Vertigo’s new track “Come Get Me” is a pop rock dance jam and then some, powered by funky riffs, romance-tinged lyrics, and irresistibly smooth choruses to get your heart racing with possibilities. The Pittsburgh quintet explains how the song came about:

“When we went into the studio, we had probably 14 or 15 workable song ideas to start with that were written over the span of a year or so. We ended up paring them down to just the six that will appear on the EP, and Come Get Me was actually the very first one we wrote out of that batch of songs. It was also the first song we wrote with our keyboardist in the band. Through the week-long pre-production process of working over the songs in the studio, only minor adjustments were made to Come Get Me, it basically made it to the record exactly as it was originally written in our practice space. Once we got to the studio, it took no work at all. Just hit record, played it, and moved on. It’s our favorite track on the EP, and it came so naturally to us once we set out to write new material.”

The band’s new EP Andromeda is out July 25th, and with a tune like “Come Get Me” leading the way, you’re gonna wanna come get it. And thanks to your friends at idobi, you’re gonna get the first listen of Andromeda on July 24th, right here on idobi.com! We’ve calculated you have approximately 13 days ’til then (yeah, that’s how stoked we are for this release, we actually did MATH), and “Come Get Me” is gonna make the next two weeks fly by, ’cause you’ll be too busy singing “we could be something, we could be something, oh, yeah…”
